Sinder/Thames - who wins, who goes
2. Rasmus - is he for real?
3. Cecil - see Rasmus - one year wonder, or is he just plain mediocre?
4. Drabek - what the hell went wrong with this guy? This one might not be answered this year, but I'm hoping he figures something out - he can't all of a sudden suck (can he?)
5. Lind - worthy of being a 1B in the AL East? - we need consistency please

Best case scenario (in my mind) for this year, is that the Jays end up with 89-90 wins, fans show up, and we can go after some free agents next offseason to fill some holes. I think that should be attainable this year with the upgrades in place from last years team.

AA has to continue the process of trading prospects for good players because we can't keep 'em all - i really like the Santos pickup.
Its going to be verrry exciting in Blue Jay land for the next several years!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299891758876102260.post-13630250573888053252012-02-17T13:40:10.833-05:002012-02-17T13:40:10.833-05:00what would need to go right?

That's some solid depth in terms of getting quality innings. I'm optimistic about their chances.GCM1979https://www.blogger.com/profile/07096628308934409139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299891758876102260.post-40252616739025961312012-02-17T13:26:26.687-05:002012-02-17T13:26:26.687-05:00I love the Jays, but I think a LOT of things would...I love the Jays, but I think a LOT of things would have to go right for this to happen. I think this is overly optimistic. I realistically can see 4th this year, and next year being the year the Jays contend.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299891758876102260.post-41124454601037589782012-01-03T14:20:46.282-05:002012-01-03T14:20:46.282-05:00Agreed on all fronts. He started bringing his arms over his head from the wind up. Mind you, he wasn't able to do that while pitching from the stretch. If he comes back stronger and in better shape and rediscovers the life on his fastball, it'll be interesting to see if he can still maintain the added movement with more velocity.
I loved watching Morrow's cutter in his last 3 starts. But he'll still need to command his fastball like he did in last half of 2010. If he can command both, he could have a stellar year.GCM1979https://www.blogger.com/profile/07096628308934409139noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2299891758876102260.post-74210226092426498512012-01-03T13:57:00.484-05:002012-01-03T13:57:00.484-05:00I have a feeling Cecil will be better this year - ...I have a feeling Cecil will be better this year - Morrow as well. Both are valuable arms... the next calendar year is going to be really interesting. Right now there is a ton of prospects - some are going to have to be traded off while the value is high...Indymannoreply@blogger.com
